Resumen : The contents of the subject of bioethics are aimed at problems related to autonomy and confidentiality, and to a lesser degree to justice in the distribution of resources. The objective of this work is to determine the competences and knowledge that Health Sciences students should acquire about the fair distribution of health resources and the deontological and legal framework in which it is framed. DESCRIPTION A documental analysis was carried out with searches on the corporate websites and repositories of universities, Official Nursing Colleges and Official Medical Colleges. Articles published in English or Spanish were located on MEDLINE via Pubmed, EMBASE and CUIDEN. The terms MESH were used: Bioethics, Teaching, Health Sciences, and Social Justice. Three competences are described that students of health sciences must acquire to manage the conflicts derived from the management of limited resources: knowledge about the application of the principle of justice in the distribution of resources, efficiency in health organizations as an instrument to achieve distributive justice; and the practice of an effective and quality medicine for an equitable attention. CONCLUSIONS The teaching of bioethics in health sciences should incorporate the knowledge and skills for an equitable and fair management of health resources, guaranteeing the right to health protection and effective and quality health care.
