The starting point for research into Palaeolithic rock art is the identification of the graphic, figurative and abstract motifs that make it up. This is the minimum element of analysis of Palaeolithic symbolic expression, from which the different approaches chosen for the research are developed. One of these procedures is the statistical analysis of data from descriptive variables, a useful way of study given that its treatment can help to discover patterns or regularities that are not easy to know intuitively. In order to carry out these studies, it is essential to develop a representative, realistic and homogeneous corpus, preferably organised in small natural regions. With this aim in mind, in 2019 we began the collection and systematisation of a catalogue of figurative representations of the caves of Asturias, according to their geographical distribution along the main river basins of the region. It includes animals, anthropomorphs and motifs related to the human figure, such as hands, vulvas or masks. The catalogue is being created on a Microsoft Access database, based on a form linked to various tables that include multiple variants. In this communication we present the data obtained in the cataloguing of the figures of the Cares-Deva basin, a territory in which seven sites with figurative motifs have been documented: the caves of El Pindal, La Loja, Coímbre, Llonín, El Bosque, La Covaciella and Falo shelteres_ES
