Estudio económico del cultivo del arándano

Abstract

In the mid 1980s, the Fruit Growing Department of the Institute of Agricultural Experimentation and Promotion (IEPA), now known as SERIDA, initiated a programme to develop and adapt the farming of small fruit in Asturias, amongst which was the blueberry. It was considered vital to carry out agronomic and economic monitoring with the aim of obtaining real data on the start-up and maintenance costs and other costs arising from production, marketing and net return. This data would be used as a reference for future farmers who are interested in this pioneering crop in the region.
