La Biblioteca del SERIDA

Abstract

The SERIDA library is an information centre specialising in agro-foods, animal production, food technology, fruit and vegetable growing and agricultural economy. It is also the only library in Asturias that provides materials on these topics. It forms part of the SIDRA network (Asturias Documentary Information Network System), which is a cooperative network for documentation centres and specialised libraries to manage and run documentary and information resources of the Principality. It is also part of the RIDA network (Agricultural Information and Documentation Network) which includes the Libraries of the Agricultural Research Centres of the Spanish autonomous regions and the National Agricultural and Food Research and Technology Institute (INIA), which is responsible for its coordination. Its aim is to locate and promote the documentary information that is needed by SERIDA's research staff and promoting its bibliographic collection and publications created by SERIDA.
