La ética de las instituciones sanitarias

Abstract

Objective: To provide a clear view of the ethical criteria for action within healthcare organizations. Method: We reviewed literature base on the subject of ethics of health care institutions, and major authors and of the main works. It provides a necessary historical review of the ethical evolution of health institutions and an updated assessment of the ethical criteria that must characterize any health institution. Conclusions: Today people expect in society that health care institutions are characterized by ethical values and good work. Ethics is now a rising valor in society and in a sanitary institutions. In light of the historical evolution of the ethics of health care institutions, we can see at the ethical criteria are the most important basis of overall assessment of the institutions of this kind.
