Abstract

Introduction. Concerning World Day of HIV-AIDS on December 1, different activities for educating and informing healthcare professionals about this major health problem in general population and develop. Description With the celebration of this day commemorating the prevention and promotion of healthy lifestyles to HIV / AIDS is sought; different agencies such as UNAIDS and the Ministry of Health (2) have driven programs and activities aimed at prevention and promotion. Of concern is the increase in new cases diagnosed and especially late. Conclusions. Therefore, from the health center “Zarracina” professional training sessions are held (in order to update knowledge on HIV / AIDS), training sessions to general population (in order to extend and improve knowledge on HIV / AIDS the population) and the general population information tables as well as the realization of the rapid test in the nursing accompanied by counseling.
