Relación de la Historia Familiar de Consumo de Alcohol y Consumo de Alcohol de los Adolescentes

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship of the familiar history alcohol consumption and the teen alcohol consumption. Material and methods: Correlational-descriptive study in 278 adolescents of a public institute of basic education of Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche, Mexico, it was conducted a stratified random sampling; for data collection was used Alcohol Consumption Familiar History Inventory and Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT). Capture and analysis was performed in SPSS V 23. Results: Was identified a positive and significant relationship of alcohol consumption familiar history and the AUDIT sum (rs= 164, p=.025) and with the amount of alcohol consumed by teens (rs=.181, p=.005). Conclusion: The study findings show that the family plays a primary role in the acquisition of healthy and unhealthy behaviors in adolescents. Therefore, it is required that the nursing professional design and implement nursing interventions that include family and teenagers in promoting healthy lifestyles.
