Efectividad de la Ley de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales en el preiodo 1997-2007

Abstract

The entry into force of the Labour Risks Prevention Law makes necessary important institutional changes, as much concerning Central Administration as Autonomic, being created public organisms like Regional Institutes for Prevention, the Foundation for the Prevention of Occupational Risk Factors and the National Commission for Health and Safety at Work, besides outdoor prevention services that arise in order to help companies to fulfil the Law, given the lack of means displayed by these companies. It has required of important economic and human efforts, pursuing a high priority objective, the improvement of the safety and health conditions at work and consequently, reducing the loss ratio in Spain. In this study are being analyzed and compared, during the period 1997-2007, the performed investments and activities and their impact on the industrial accidents rate.
