Resumen : Objective: to determine the association between violence, drug use and the Quality of Life Related to Health (HRQOL) of the woman who goes to the violence units Methodology: Descriptive, cross-sectional study carried out in the care units for women victims of violence, in the Sanitary Region VI, Southern Jalisco during 2017. The total population was 120 women who attended the units of attention. Violence of their intimate partner those that met the inclusion criteria were included 80, so the sampling was for convenience, the study variables: women who suffered violence, of drug use and the quality of life related to health. Descriptive statistics were performed and the C of Cramér as an association technique by the type of data obtained. Results: the average age was 30,37, 42,5% indicated that they had been married, 36,3% had primary school education, 43,08% had a mental illness. 100% of the women indicated that they had experienced intimate partner violence and 57,3% of the women reported that they experienced psychological violence. Regarding the consumption of licit drugs, 30% consume alcohol and tobacco, the half HRQOL was 51,15 with a standard deviation of 19,12. Conclusion: A significant association was found between the variables of violence with the use of benzodiazepines, analgesics, and anti-inflammatories (α = 0,01), but no association was found between violence and HRQOL.
