Resumen : Introduction: In recent years there has been a strong boost of home care, emerging new devices in various Autonomous Communities to provide socio-health responses to patients whose best therapeutic location is home. The reasons that have contributed to its strengthening are the development of primary care, the demand for comprehensive care at home, aging and chronicity of the population. Objective: Evaluate the sociodemographic characteristics and morbidity profile of patients integrated into the home care program of the Basic Health Area of Almassora. Material and methods: An observational and cross-sectional descriptive study on a sample of 192 patients, who underwent an exhaustive review and analysis of computerized medical records. Results: Two thirds of the sample are women, with an average age of 83.07 years. Regarding the profile of pathologies presented by patients, we see that the most prevalent are hypertension (80.3%), cognitive impairment (68.8%), cardiovascular diseases (62%), Diabetes Mellitus (44, 8%) and pressure ulcers (42.7%). The majority of patients belong to level 3 of the chronicity strategy of the Comunitat Valenciana (45.8%) Conclusions: The profile of the patient studied determines a majority of women around 83 years, belonging to level 2-3 of the care strategy of the Valencian Community, with various pathologies, physical dependence and pressure ulcers. The caregivers are the children or the spouse and do not have barriers to access
