Análisis arqueométricos de cerámica asturiana de los siglos XVI-XVII

Abstract

We offer in this paper the results of the first archaeometric analysis performed on pot-tery productions elaborate in Asturias (Spain) between the early sixteenth century and themid-seventeenth century. 10 samples were selected from the most representative types ofAsturian potteries from this period. The samples were analyzed using different characte-rization techniques: X-Ray Fluorescence, for elementary quantification of the componentsof the different samples and Glow-Discharge-Time of Flight-Mass-Spectrometry to meetqualitatively of minor elements present. The supplied data will allow us to characterizeand learn about productions that were made in Asturias in the late Middle Ages from aphysical-chemical view.
