Análisis técnico, interpretativo y musical de Thème et variations Op. 73 para piano solo de Gabriel Fauré

Abstract

In the present work it has been tried, first of all, to establish the importance of Thème et variations, for Fauré, realizing a biographical and stylistic context as well as its relation with other works by the author. However, the main objective has been to carry out an Analysis stylistic, formal and harmonic combined with an interpretative and pedagogical analysis. Both one as the other, previous studies of a more general nature have been taken into account. Finally, we have tried to determine the reception and success of this work, the influences received from previous variations, as well as the possible influence of Thème et variations in series later. One of the main conclusions is that, despite its key role in history musical genre, in the long run this work has not had a fair recognition.
