Resumen : | At the end of 19th Century, Paris became the first musical world center, where musicians from all over Europe came together and the avant-garde artistic movements developed. In this study we try to answer these questions: What did Paris mean for a Spanish musician? When did the pilgrimage of Spanish musicians to Paris start? Why did they choose Paris and not London? How did these musicians contribute to the development of Spanish musical nationalism? Throughout the concert and compositional trajectory of brilliant pianists such as Ricardo Vines, Joaquín Malats and Joaquín Nin we will approach the Parisian musical context where the Spanish Musical Renaissance was achieved. |
