La Fundación Eutherpe 15 Años dedicados a la formación y proyección de jóvenes pianistas

Abstract

Created in 2004 in León, the "Eutherpe Foundation" has its origin in the "Pianística Eutherpe Association", founded in 1999 by Margarita Morais. From that moment, the objectives are the same as those of the Foundation: to favor training, musical development and to serve as a presentation platform for young musicians through the organization of courses, annual cycles of concerts by young pianists; the adaptation of the Eutherpe concert hall and the placing at its disposal of the grand piano of the same, the direction of the Eutherpe school as well as the search of economic resources to carry out these activities. In our work we have tried to present the history of the Foundation, also addressing a brief statistical study of its most relevant activities to assess its work in terms of dissemination of musical culture in Spain and help in the training of young musicians from around the world.
