El descubrimiento científico de la Región Volcánica Central de España (1775-1932)

Abstract

Scientific discovery of the Central Volcanic Region of Spain (1775- 1932) .- The most important milestones of scientific discovery of the Central Volcanic Region of Spain, located in the province of Ciudad Real, from 1775 to 1932 are analysed. In particular, it has carried out a study of the works of its protagonists, especially the cartographic contributions and the role of institutions in which they collaborated: Real Academia de Minas de Almadén, Comisión del Mapa Geológico Nacional, Universidad Central de Madrid and Museo de Ciencias Naturales.
